Scientific Protection (SPS) is an independent UK spin-out from the Institute for Applied Science Inc., a US based corporation established in 1997 to commercialize Intellectual Property developed to resolve internationally identified science & technology shortfalls and promote science for peace and security.
Based in Scotland, the Scientific Protection team has extensive experience in coordinating international science & technology projects and has proven expertise in research, design, prototyping and manufacture of Personal Protective Equipment.
Since 2017, Scientific Protection has also undertaken R&D in marine science. Jacques Cousteau, the father of modern ocean science, was both a great inventor of personal protective equipment (the co-inventor of the SCUBA aqualung) and a champion of the marine environment.
The United Nations has declared 2021-2030 the Decade of Ocean Science for Sustainable Development 2021-2030 (https://en.unesco.org/ocean-decade ).
